What's up, I'm Brev!

American bass-baritone and social media influencer, Daniel Brevik, is praised for having "a massive, focused, rich, warm timbre." Boasting an impressive following of over 240,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and 488,000 followers on TikTok. Brevik's singing and teaching channel extends even further, with a staggering 670,000 followers on Instagram with over 60 million views which have amassed over 15 years of total stream time, effectively captivating audiences on a global scale.

A recipient of Opera Theatre of Saint Louis‘ Richard Gaddes Career Grant, and the Wendy Shattuck Presidential Scholarship from the New England Conservatory, Brevik was hailed by The Washington Post for having “an impressive, sonorous voice" while Opera Today claimed he could "rattle the rafters one moment and be lullingly conversational the next."

Brevik was featured on the cover of Opera News for creating the role of Ernest Hemingway in the world premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon's Twenty-Seven. The album recorded with the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra is available on all major music platforms. Brevik later reprised his role with the orchestra of St. Luke’s in his New York debut at City Center Theatre, and then again at Intermountain Opera in Bozeman, Montana.

Notable venues Brevik has performed in include Boston’s Symphony Hall, St. Louis’ Powell Hall, Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Civic Opera House, Amarillo Texas’ Globe-News Center, Venice Italy’s St. Marks Cathedral, and the Vietnam Opera and ballet in Hanoi Vietnam.

In a recent collaboration with Bobby Bass, their cover of “Hoist The Colours” garnered over 13 billion streams on TikTok, 12 million streams on Spotify, and 7 million views on YouTube. In 2022, Brevik was showcased on stage in concert with Pentatonix legend Avi Kaplan in Boston, MA. Brev opened for Dustin Lynch in winter of 2024 to help fundraise for St. Jude's Children's Hospital for iHeart Radio's Unwrapped and Unplugged fundraiser. He looks forward to performing alongside his good friend Tim Foust at his “9th quasi annual birthday” bash at City Winery in Nashville this July.

As a teacher and vocal coach, he's guided vocalists of all ages in multiple styles to free up their voice and hone their unique instrument for over ten years. In 2024, Brev was one of three selected to judge at the VanderLaan competition through Opera Grand Rapids. Brev co-runs a world-wide online vocal studio, StudioBrev, with his lovely and musical wife and vocal coach: Jen.

Outside of singing, Brev loves weight lifting and spending time training his golden retriever, Wyatt.

Hey there, I'm Peter!

Peter Barber is an American bass-baritone and graduate of the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts. Now, a recent graduate of the Marion Roose Pullin Studio at Arizona Opera, he finds himself taking his first steps into life as a full-time guest artist.

While at Arizona Opera, Peter performed Basilio in The Barber of Seville, Count Capulet in Romeo et Juliette, Masetto in Don Giovanni, Colline in La Bohème, and King of Egypt in Aida. In the summer of 2025, he will be heading to the Aspen Music Festival for a 2nd year as Renée Fleming Studio Artist. While in Aspen, he will be performing Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte, with Renée making her directing debut. In Aspen, he will also be performing his 3rd Colline, but this time alongside Matthew Polenzani as Rodolfo.

During his time at AVA, Peter performed numerous roles, including; the title role in Don Giovanni, Schaunard in La Bohème, and Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin. In October of 2021, he made his professional role and company debut with Salt Marsh Opera, performing Escamillo in Carmen. In January of 2020, he made his professional debut with Pacific Opera Project, performing Amantio in POP's double-bill production of Gianni Schicchi and L'enfant et les Sortilèges. Also with POP, Peter was to perform his first professional lead role as Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, but the shows were cancelled due to COVID-19.

Some of his other role highlights include: Bottom in Midsummer Night's Dream, Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro, Stobrod/Blindman in Cold Mountain, and Sarastro in The Magic Flute. Peter was an Encouragement Award Winner in the Western Region Finals of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition.

Outside of the opera world, Peter has grown a substantial audience on YouTube, surpassing 300,000 subscribers via videos with in-depth musical analysis of contemporary music, musical covers, and full-length conversations with voice professionals, many of which have achieved significant acclaim in their respective fields. Some guests include; Eric Whitacre, Geoff Castellucci, Mako, Janet Varney, Ekaterina Shelehova, Tim Foust, Simone Simons, Jonathan Young, Lauren Paley, and Elizabeth Zharoff.

He is also one of the founding members of a musical group called The Bass Gang (Bobby Bass, Peter Barber, Tomi P, and Marwan Ayman), which was formed during the pandemic, and consists of four bass singers that collaborated virtually from all over the world until August of 2023 when they convened in Brno, Czechia to shoot professional music videos for their 3rd studio EP. They have now released 4 EPs and numerous singles, amassing over 25 million views/streams between YouTube and Spotify alone. In 2024, Peter's voice was heard over 150 million times across platforms.

In his spare time, Peter enjoys working out, getting lost in epic fantasy stories, and spending time in nature.
